Brau Brothers Frame
Straightener
February 25th thru March 2nd
Brewer's Description
Frame Straightener is the follow-up to our initial release in the Single Batch Series of beers. A traditional take on a classic style, 100% of the malt bill is Belgian in origin. This pale ale is infused with just enough French Strisselspalt hops. Easily a session ale, it begins with malt and plum; earthy and complex. It finishes with a hint of clove and fennel, keeping a peasant bread characteristic throughout.
ABV = 5.4%, Color = 12 SRM, Bitterness = 22 IBU

Josh says A Lesser Belgian
February 27th, 2008
I was really looking forward to this beer after the Flat Earth version but this just seems like a watered down replica in comparison. The Frame Straightener has a light Belgian taste but it doesn’t grab my attention. I can smell the hops but they don’t come across in the flavor.
I don’t think I ended up with a bad batch like some of the other reviewers but this beer doesn’t do much for me.

I definitely agree that it tastes a bit watered down, like it’s missing the punch.
