Flat Earth Belgian Pale Ale
January 14th thru January 20th
Brewer's Description
Flat Earth Belgian-style Pale Ale is inspired by beers like Orval, Fat Tire and Rare Vos. It is made with imported Belgian malt and a Belgian yeast strain. Our Belgian pale ale has a sweet malt aroma with traces of orange, plum and pear. Its complex malt backbone of biscuit and hints of toast compliment the spiciness of the yeast.
Our Belgian-style ale is brewed to be enjoyed with a variety of foods, but try it with some steamed mussels, pizza, a rack of lamb, or even a char-grilled steak. Enjoy!

Barrett says If this beer were a woman…
January 17th, 2008
…I’d run and run fast. The 1pt/6oz bottle I bought at Warehouse Liquors in Duluth was cold, bitter, and a serious drain on my wallet. Luckily, however, this is beer. I’m not a fan of Belgian-style beer (especially the American knockoffs) but this stuff’s got it going on. It’s got a pleasantly dry flavor with a nice bite. I probably won’t be buying another $4.50 bottle, but if I see it in a pub or restaurant, I’ll have it again without hesitation.
