Gluek Honey Bock
January 7th thru January 13th
Brewer's Description
This special bock beer is handcrafted with the combination of special toasted malts and the finest hops and with a touch of honey is very well balanced. Honey is evident in the aroma, (yet not overpowering), but harmonious with the Bock's malty and bready aromas. The Gluek Honey Bock appearance is a light reddish amber to copper color, bright clarity, off-white persistent head. This bock has a medium/light to medium body, with a gentle creaminess, moderate carbonation, with a smooth moderately crisp finish and has a bit of alcohol warming.

briz says ‘Gluek’s de beer in de silver can, it taste de best?’
January 10th, 2008
The first words out of my mouth were. “mm, tastes like aluminum.” (We got the canned version, but despite pouring in glasses, still tasted metallic. Perhaps our local establishment does not move a great deal of this product either.) That aside, it was disappointingly much like a Milwaukie’s best ice with a smattering of caramel malt to disguise the fact. :-/ It is what it is. One could do worse, and it may prove an effective gateway beer, but not likely for those who would be inclined to engage in the reviewing of beers.
