Rett says A distant memory
April 21st, 2008
Ok, truth be told I’m only writing this review because the page throws a bunch of errors when there aren’t any reviews. So I plan to retaste this beer on Saturday when the wife and I get back from our vacation in San Antonio. I remember really liking this beer. We had a sampler pack when we went snowboarding at Lutsen a few months ago, and the Oatmeal Stout was my favorite. So with that distant memory, I’ll give it a solid 4.

So I drank a Stite black and tan for nothing? Oh for shame! If anyone really wants to give it a try Heritage and Sharret’s liquors has it in stock. Six pack should set you back about $2.99.

I was not looking forward to black and tan week, mostly because the beer guy at my local liquor store has never even heard of it, but I am confused by the last minute switcheroo. Was this debated on the facebook site? I’ll admit I never bother checking there for info.
I also tried the Oatmeal Stout on that Lutsen trip but I think I’ll try a fresh one before my review.

I also drank the Stite. However, I don’t think it was for naught. My wife offered the best impression of it: “kind of tastes how stale beer smells”
She was right, it kinda tasted how you’d expect a bar to taste if you mashed it all up and juiced it.
