Schell Pilsner
March 10th thru March 16th
Brewer's Description
A shining example of the true European Pilsner style beer, Schell's Pilsner is brewed with 100 percent barley malt, where the imported German Hallertau hops flavor is showcased. Its full hop characteristic and delicate aroma were developed in Pilsen, Bohemia around 1840. This style was widely copied by early American breweries. Over the years, however, it has been lost to the much lighter-bodied, low-hopped relatives we refer to as American "Premium" beer.

Josh says Average Pilsner
March 12th, 2008
I picked up the Schell sampler pack last night since the only other option was a 12-pack and I don’t like pilsners enough to justify that. I thought the beer was an average pilsner with maybe a little more hops than average. The rest of the sampler pack sounded more interesting, I can’t wait for Caramel Bock week.
