Much like snowflakes, no two Snowstorm beers are alike. Once a year, our brewmasters lock themselves in the testing room with a secret selection of fine malts and hops, only emerging when they've hit upon something truly extraordinary.
Snowstorm 2007 was inspired by the Monastic beers of Belgium. Authentic Belgian yeast produces subtle overtones of fruiit and spice. Six malts combined with a touch of Turbinado sugars help to create a complex malt character, with hints of raisins, dark fruit and rum. We hope you enjoy savoring it as much as we enjoyed making it!

The Schell Snowstorm first struck me as horrible. I slowly warmed up to it as I continued drinking it. It reminded me a little of Breckinridge Brewery’s Avalanche…….but not as good. I like the idea that Schell changes it’s Snowstorm annually and look forward to next year’s batch.
