Much like snowflakes, no two Snowstorm beers are alike. Once a year, our brewmasters lock themselves in the testing room with a secret selection of fine malts and hops, only emerging when they've hit upon something truly extraordinary.
Snowstorm 2007 was inspired by the Monastic beers of Belgium. Authentic Belgian yeast produces subtle overtones of fruiit and spice. Six malts combined with a touch of Turbinado sugars help to create a complex malt character, with hints of raisins, dark fruit and rum. We hope you enjoy savoring it as much as we enjoyed making it!

commas says 2007 Snowstorm: Sweetness

I have a love-hate relationship with yeasty beers and this year’s Snowstorm inspired an expected ambivalence. On one hand, Schell’s has delivered a beer that is complex and sweet, that starts like raisins and ends like apples. It’s tasty and fizzy and a nice alternative to my usual hoppy microbrew ales. On the other hand, this Snowstorm is heavy and filling. I never want to drink more than two in a sitting.
