Being a lover of light beers, you’d think I’d love Grain Belt. I usually will drink it just fine if it’s the only light beer available, but I’ve found it has a weird odor that I don’t enjoy when drinking. In fact, on more than one occasion when drinking it out of a glass, I’ve been known to plug my nose while taking a swig. I prefer it in a bottle.

Ben didn’t think I’d like this beer, but it was actually alright. The flavor wasn’t overwhelming to me. It wasn’t a great beer by any means, but I didn’t have a problem finishing it. I probably wouldn’t ever choose this at a bar, but if it was all that was around, I’d drink it.

Joe was right, I DO love this beer! This is by far and away my favorite of the Brew 52 beers that I’ve tried. Not too surprising, since it tastes just like Bud/Miller/Mich Golden Light to me. I like that I can trick people into thinking I have more refined tastes by drinking this beer. Bonus!

I went through a long span of not trying any of the Brew 52 beers… but now I hope to be back! I just tried a few sips of Scotch Ale and I guess it was okay. The flavor was too strong for me but it didn’t taste hoppy so that’s a plus. I could maybe drink one or two if it was all that was around.

Mmmmm…… cold coffee, mixed with beer.

OK, I know I didn’t technically drink an entire pint of this, but I can still make a judgment off of the 2 sips I stole from Becky. Yuck. I could barely choke down the 2 sips I had. It was like an explosion of different flavors in my mouth, and not in a good way. I will not be having this ever again.

This beer made my nose crinkle with distaste. I expected to like it for some reason. Perhaps it is because I like the name Mai Fest. Which apparently is pronounced MY not MAY (thanks Rett!!!!). I will continue to mispronounce it. At any rate, this wasn’t my favorite beer – almost too sweet and had some weird aftertaste.

This beer gives me a headache. The flavor actually doesn’t seem that bad to me, but it doesn’t sit well with my system. I would not have another.

I drank a few sips of this beer after having a few other beers. Thus, I can’t give a very comprehensive review. (As opposed to all of my other VERY comprehensive reviews…)

I don’t think I really liked this one that much. I had a few sips, gave the rest to Ben, and got another Miller Lite.

This beer was great – I could definitely drink several. Honestly, I wasn’t really paying too much attention to the beer, because I was drinking it while cooking (which I rarely do) so I was distracted. I do remember that I liked it – it would be very refreshing on a hot summers day.

As I sit here writing my review and drinking my beer, it is a balmy 48 degrees outside. This will be the first of many Brew 52 beers enjoyed on our front porch, which always makes beer taste better. This beer was fine – a little too hoppy still for me, but I can see why everyone else seemed to love it.
